Commitment and determination

This past November my best friend passed away, May was honestly one of the best things that ever happened to me, she was cute, funny, smart, and really great at escaping. I may want to mention that May… Was a hamster. Although that didn’t matter to me, she was pretty darn special and most importantly she was mine, all mine which felt amazing and special.

Once I felt ready to move on I asked if I could get another hamster but to my surprise my parents answered with a big fat NO. I asked them why but all they answered with was that they didn’t want another hamster, which left me with the question, then why did they let me get the last one

I continued to ask why not? And begged that they heard me out. I eventually got it out of them, there reasons were the following

  • They smell bad
  • They didn’t want to have to take it to the vet
  • They didn’t want me to be sad when it dies
  • Play time issues

These were just a few of the reasons, but I answered all of them. My parents would not budge I tried everything! I wrote a letter, essay, I even made a little song and performed for them, but nothing worked, I felt disscouraged… Then I decided, I was going to make a video. Tonight I will show it to them in hopes of changing their mind on the topic. Wish me luck! 🙂
